Drawing inspiration from Indra's Net, [ ’nju ] the sophist’s work, ‘Expanding Indra's Net, Ver.1’ emanates from her distinctive perspective, wherein she conceptualises herself as a universe. She believes that the elements she encounters, encompassing individuals, objects, and space, intricately interconnect and engage in a harmonious interaction. Through this process, a microcosm is formed within her work. Lee employs the technique known as free motion, effectively utilising a machine sewing needles as a drawing instrument. This innovative approach allows her to haphazardly weave together her analogue pictures, creating a tapestry of visual exploration. Aligned with the exhibition in Seoul, the showcase in London will feature a presentation of videos and images, integrating these pieces with individual beings, offering a unique and immersive experience that crosses the boundary from internalised memories to external stylistic pieces.
